Differential Backup hangs my computer
#1
This morning, around 8am I found my computer hanging. Black display with a mouse pointer. Waited 20min - nothing. Hard restart.

There was a differential System backup scheduled for 3am which, it seems, started but hadn't finished more than 5h later. On Hasleo Home Last backup was reported Successful, See attached image. There was no corresponding backup file in the image folder.

After the restart a file backup, scheduled for 4am started and finished successfully. That was expected as per Run missed schedule at the next system startup option.

Looked trough Windows Event Log for information but found nothing relevant.

See attachments for logs and other info. If I missed something, don't hesitate to ask.

.zip   SysInfo.zip (Size: 68.09 KB / Downloads: 0)

I am taking a pause from HBS testing for now.

Very strange at 3:16 AM on January 16, both the backup service program (BackupService.exe) and the backup executor (BackupWorker.exe) seem to stop working because there are no logs output to the log file. Technically the chances of both programs crashing without logging are too small, but we can't think of any other reason, so please check to see if there are any files with the .dmp extension in the bin folder under the installation directory of Hasleo Backup Suite.

Can't see any .dmp. I must say that I have uninstalled HBS since but the log files and a couple of .db files  (OperationLog.db and ImageMount.db) were left behind. Attaching them

I don't know if it was a crash.  To me it looked more like a lock up. Usually my computer sleeps at night. Until Jan 16 the scheduled backups will wake it up and when done, the computer sleeps again. Jan 16 at t 8am the computer wasn't sleeping according to front panel light. The display was awake, black and on it  there was a mouse pointer, which moved with the mouse movements.
