Ever since the new version has come out, I can no longer clone a running windows 10 computer to the external drive. It *appears* to partition/format/clone, but what I wind up with is a drive with a ~95MB partition and nothing else. The running machine is a Dell with recovery partition etc and an OS partition that's ~250GB on a physical NVMe 1TB drive. I have used this software in its prior iterations successfully, many times, so it's not as if I have no experience with it.
