Please run chkdsk to scan the source boot partition and see if it have file system errors. If Yes, fix it and try again.

Ok, I ran WinToUSB again.

So, thinks it worked, no error messages.

So, I tell laptop to boot from USB.

Says OK, booted up. little slow.

But, just like last time, C: disk is NOT the USB.

When I run cmd as administrator, and do "set" get weird mix.

So, did it boot from clone on USB or what?
Is this a bootable USB or not?

I am thoroughly confused now.

Healthy (System, Boot, Active, Crash Dump. Primary Partition)

C is Active Primary Partition

and

D is Primary Partition

Please boot up from the USB drive, run regedit.exe as administrator and delete all the values under the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\MountedDevices registry key, then reboot to see whether the problem is resolved.

Well, I would like to help you test it, since you helped me so much. However, my laptop has since broken (power socket busted) and my new desktop running windows 7 64 bit has 37.6gb in its disk, and I don't have a large enough usb for that.
